A. Martyniuk visited villages of Menvytskyi, Lubeshivskyi and Kamin-Kashyrskyi districts of the Volyn region.
The First Deputy Chairman of Ukraine laid flowers to the monuments to soldiers-victims of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, met the village communities, administration of local councils and state administration, inspected numerous construction objects, and took part in the opening ceremony of the bridge over Stohid river in Berezychi village.
A. Martyniuk stated the first day of the visit "was dedicated to visiting the objects to be opened during the year of the 20th anniversary of independent Ukraine."
Meeting the local community, A. Martyniuk answered numerous questions concerning social problems. A. Martyniuk hopes that the next year will be more successful, since the state experienced stability for the first time during twenty years of independence, and launched active economic development.
Discussing the pressing problems and the pension reform, the politician regretted that the parliamentary majority upholds the suggested draft. He expects it to be adopted at the beginning of July.
A. Martyniuk focused on the educational matters, since the standards of education leave much to be desired. Thus, this sphere needs new approaches, especially concerning employment of the graduates. He reminded of the method used in Soviet times, when graduates were supposed to work for the public sector, as the government funded their education.
On June 23, A. Martyniuk took part in the grand opening of the bridge over Stohid river which links Berezychi and Novoberezychi villages.
